The Pygmy seahorses are born brown. If there is a purple coral even though their parents are orange the young seahorses will grow up as purple seahorses. Pygmy seahorses grow bumps on them to blend in more with the fan coral. Pygmy seahorses live at least 80 ft below sea level. Pygmy seahorses grow up to be 2 cm! The size of a paper clip!

On Wednesday the 14th of February most catholic schools had a mass to remember how Adam and Eve were made from the ashes of the palm leaves. Ash Wednesday is 40 days before Easter and the first day of lent. Ash Wednesday is also the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert when the devil came to him 3 times. If I had to give up something for a day I would give up chocolate.

On the second of February our school participated in the Top Team. There were 12 different games to play. We also had some helpers that helped out with the games. The games were:
You got assigned into a team with people that were from your house colour. There were at least 7 or 8 people in a team. People also had at least 2 leaders in their team that helped the little kids in the group find where to go. The leaders were year 7 or year 8 in the team.
On the water activities some people got really wet and some people got barely wet. Most of the people that got really wet was because they had a water fight with some friends and some other people. Some people also accidentally poured water on some other people.
Top team has been the funnest day so far and I really enjoyed it! My favourite game was the egg and spoon race or the golf ball gutter! In the gold ball gutter you had to make a line for the ball to travel in without the ball falling out. If the ball fell out you had to restart the whole thing. For the egg and spoon race you had to balance a tennis ball on a giant wooden spoon through an obstacle course. If the ball fell off the spoon you had to move to the back of the line and wait for your turn again. The obstacles were seesaws, pole weaves and hurdles . The water ones were also fun though!

This week on Tuesday 19th of September we went on a walk into New Brighton by the beach and went to Alice in Putterland. I was on a team with Summer, Willa and Aleigha.

On the 14th of September we held an art show at our school showing the art we have done this term. We looked at Don Binney and made a digital version of it then we painted it. Then we looked at graffiti art and got inspired to make our names in graffiti. We also made an art piece of our outside and our inside.
